Moving Stinks!!

Seriously- I'm never moving again. It's the most physically, mentally, emotionally draining thing I've done in a long time. It's probably a good thing I didn't have a working computer/internet access during the process or you would have heard a lot more whining. The good things?

1. The things that were wrong are being fixed/corrected
2. I had lots of help packing
3. We had lots of help for the physical move
4. Jessica (my sister) and Luke (her husband) came down this week and were tremendously helpful in unpacking and helping me maintain my sanity.
5. I really do like my house (and will like it more when it's 'finished'
6. I get new furniture- we've not ever purchased couches, so it's nice to get to do that
7. Ashley's school is a 15 minute walk from our house. I have forced exercise every day (which apparently I need) and the walk is through a park in the middle of our neighborhood. We only cross one street.
8. Megan, Annika and Corinne get out of the house every day as well and get to play on the swings in the park on the way home from school.
9. The girls seem to be adjusting well

The options that KB 'missed' and have had to correct:
After the 'first' walkthrough:
All the baseboards and door casings throughout the house

things we noticed after we moved in:
wrong doors and doorknobs/hardware
missing keyless entry on garage door
missing gas BBQ stub outside

Other things we missed on our walkthrough:
water softener didn't work
hot water recirculation pump didn't work
Ashley's window didn't latch shut
the doorbell doesn't chime properly
dining room window missing tension springs to hold it open
there's only one plug/outlet in the entire master bathroom
laundry shelving reversed so that the 'hang' feature was useless
masterbedroom closet shelving reversed on one side leaving us with hardly any 'hang' at all

So I've had workers in my house almost every week day fixing something or fixing what they had to rip out to fix something. But it's a nice house, it's a bigger house (which is what we needed) and there are tons of options that we picked that I'm loving (like my corian countertops and seamless sink). But we're here and it can only get better from here on out right?
