It's FALL!!

This is the best time of year in Las Vegas. It really, really is. The AC is off (most of the day) and the doors and windows are open (but screened- still seeing too many pesky flies). There is a lovely crispness in the air that will stay for the next several months. That's right- MONTHS. I love fall in Las Vegas. And Spring. The fact that we have such fabulous fall weather and such fabulous winter weather and beautiful springs make the 4 months of summer bearable. I'm willing to take the trade off. Since it's so wonderful and Steve spent Saturday cleaning (so not too much guilt) I'm spending the day baking. I've got some new recipes to try, some new cookie cutters to try, and it's fall. I need to spend some time in the kitchen. Besides, the girls all have coughs and snotty noses so I can't take them too the gym. I'll be back with pictures by tonight.

Fall is my favorite season too...and I just blogged about it yesterday...

I was eyeing cute cookie cutters at the evil Wal-Mart this morning. I resisted, but I don't know how long I will be able to keep from grabbing one.

I baked a peanut butter cheesecake yesterday! Gave it away so I didn't get to taste it, but it sure smelled dee-lish.
I bought leaf shaped cookie cutters a couple of years ago and STILL haven't used them! Maybe it's a sugar cookie night tonight. I figure I'll tint the dough orange and then decorate with gold and brown and orange sugars on top. Waddya think?

I love fall too.

LOVE fall. More than words can say. But I need COOL weather. Like sweaters and stuff. But I love you in the fall, even if I don't love Vegas much at all :)

I miss the Las Vegas warmth right now. Tonight's low is 28, and lately the difference has been 40-43 degrees, so that means the high should have been 68/70, and it's still September. No doubt about it, I'm going to freeze my butt off, maybe you should share your cookies with me since it might get too cold to go to the store.

The only good thing about Autumn is I get to pull out my scarf.

Aw, is there anything more cozy than baking for children when it's fall and the weather is so deliciously cool and crisp? I don't think so.
